I love me some steak. With mushrooms. Something about that combo is just so perfect, it doesn’t get any better. The boy is a big fan of New York strips. They’re expensive. I like whatever is on sale. Usually petite sirloin. It tastes the same to me, it’s mostly just how it is cooked. This week, New York Strip was on sale and the boy had kind of a shitty day so I went and picked up four of them. As long as you have a decent steak, there are only three things you need on it…
Fresh minced garlic
1. Preheat your grill. I don’t know how to do this part, the boy does this step.
2. While the grill is heating, take out your steaks and bring them to room temperature. Load the shit out of them with some good salt. I used coarse sea salt and some delicious pepper. Do this on both sides. The salt tenderizes the steak so you really can’t over do it
3. On one side, add as much garlic as you please
4. Grill and enjoy! I made a skewer of mushrooms with mine and we cooked some chicken that was about to go bad to put in something for this week
