So I bought some shrimp last week and needed to use it up. When we have good shrimp, we don’t like to use a heavy sauce or anything so that the shrimp really shines through. I found this recipe with just a few flavors to it, so it would let the shrimp shine. I did make this into a one-pot meal and it turned out awesome! The shrimp didn’t really turn out crispy at all like in the original, but since the shrimp were coated in flour, it did help thicken up the sauce.
Spicy Shrimp Pasta
1lb Shrimp, peeled and deveined, cut into big, bite size pieces
Salt and pepper
1 1/2c Chicken broth
1/3 Box linguine
2T Minced garlic
Cajun seasoning, to taste
1. Sprinkle the shrimp with salt and pepper and flour. Give it a good toss to make sure everything is coated well
2. Melt butter In pan and fry shrimp until they turn opaque. Flip and once the shrimp are cooked, remove to a plate
3. Bring chicken broth to a boil and add noodles. Cook noodles until soft, most of the broth should be absorbed. DO NOT DRAIN
4. Add milk, garlic, and Cajun seasoning and let thicken a little. Add shrimp and let sauce simmer until thickened to your desire.
